Hero Motocorp and Delhi Police Raid Spurious Spare Parts Sellers

As part of its ongoing initiative to curb the menace of spurious parts, Hero MotoCorp has launched campaign against the manufacturers and traders of spurious parts and counterfeit products.

In a series of raid, launched under its initiative ‘Fight Fake, Stay Safe’, Hero MotoCorp, jointly with the Economic Offences Wing of Delhi Police, pursuant to orders passed by the High Court, raided some establishments in the Karol Bagh market of Delhi and seized almost 70,000 items of critical replacement parts and counterfeit packaging materials and labels.

Committed to the safety of its valued customers, Hero MotoCorp will further intensify its action against counterfeiters, as the use of spurious parts can lead to severe repercussions in a vehicle, including vehicle failure and triggering a fire.

Original Hero Genuine Parts (HGP) bear the Unique Parts Identification (UPI) code. Customers can confirm the genuineness of the part by sending UPI code through SMS on 9266171171. The MRP sticker also contains many salient features like ‘Colour shift Ink’, ‘Scratch & See’, HGP logo (in Guilloche Text Pattern) visibility under UV light, etc.

Hero MotoCorp’s drive against spurious parts manufacturers is an initiative towards ensuring the safety of the vehicle and those riding it, and will also play a huge role in curbing environmental pollution.

This initiative, thus, safeguards the interests of its customers and ensures that they have access to Hero genuine parts. Hero MotoCorp is determined to continue this drive against unscrupulous traders selling counterfeit Hero spare parts and intends to take strict actions against such traders in the future.
