Mercedes-Benz Drives in the ‘World Car of the Year’ - AMG C63 S

Mercedes-Benz launched the new AMG C63 S on September 3. The tenth high performance AMG model to be launched in the Indian market, AMG C63 S, the ‘2015 World Car of the Year’- is a powerful high-end rear-wheel drive sports car powered by a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine, developing an output of 375 kW (510 hp), making the V8 model the most powerful car in its segment. The new AMG C63 S was launched by Eberhard Kern, MD and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.

Eberhard Kern commented, “The C63 AMG has been a legendary sports car and with the launch of the new generation AMG C63 S, the success story of the Mercedes-AMG brand will be further rooted in India. It once again demonstrates Mercedes-Benz’s technological leadership in the high-performance segment. We clearly have a winner with the new AMG C63 S, off or on the race track.” 


The rated output for AMG C63 S is 375 kW (510 hp) at 5,500-6,250 rpm, while the torque is 700 Nm at 1,750-4,500 rpm. The C63 S saloon is also the most economical eight-cylinder car in the high-performance segment. The AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers, the mechanical rear axle locking differential and the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT transmission modes raise the driving dynamics to a new level.

• The dashboard is finished in ARTICO man-made leather.
